As always, Webkinz provides young children with fun, entertainment, and reponsibility as they play with and care for their virtual on line pet. The stuffed animal that comes with the on line access codes are collectable trophies for the kids, and are well made, durable, and attractive. Overall, a great idea for young kids and a safe on line learning experience. As a parent, you can set guidelines for their online experiences as they care for their new pet in the virtual world, choosing to allow them to add 'friends' and chat with pre-programed sentences as they play games to earn money to build their webkin world or limit them to silence. This little dog is so much cuter in person then in the picture, and the trading cards are an added bonus for the collector in any age child.

I bought the lemur for my nephew who happens to love the Penguins of Madagascar show, and the lemurs on it. It arrived quickly with no problems, and is very cute. It (along with the silverback gorilla) is SUPER SOFT. I kind of want to keep it. :) I hope the basketball outfit fits it, but I won't know til Christmas. If it doesn't, he probably won't care anyway.

Amazing what a year can do! Kookeys has completely rebuilt their website into an amazing 3-D world where virtual 'koos' can meet, become friends, go to the University, do jobs, find quests, own and decorate homes, and play games. It is much more involved now than Webkinz. Kookeys has a safe chat that allows players to communicate using the available words and phrases. This feature is much more indepth than Webkinz. Also, when you become friends with another koo, you are supposed to be able to 'whisper' to each other, which allows typing text like on Club Penguin. Right now that feature isn't up, but Kookeys is adding new content every 2-3 weeks. The black cat is very cute online. I recommend Kookeys for anyone who enjoys Webkinz and similar online worlds.
